Master of Business Administration - MBA  The MBA program at Point Loma Nazarene University is one of the best options for professionals in San Diego who want to further their business career. Our MBA degree prepares graduates to operate with exceptional business knowledge, integrity, self-initiative, and sound decision-making skills. The PLNU Fermanian School of Business MBA offers three tracks. This page will guide you through the application checklist. Application Checklist for Graduate Business: - Complete the Graduate Application and submit your $35.00 application fee. You can find the application on the Application Process page.
- Complete a personal essay that describes why you desire to participate in the MBA program and describes your future goals.
- Request 2 confidential letters of recommendation and send directly to PLNU. Please use the Recommendation Form that you can find on the Application Process page.
- Request transcripts from each college/university you attended. Transcripts must reflect an eanred baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution. Please have transcripts sent to the address you can find on the Application Process page.
- Submit your scores from the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT), or submit proof of the successful completion of a post-baccalaureate professional certificate or graduate degree program.
- Schedule an interview with the Director of Graduate Programs and/or a member of the Fermanian School of Business faculty to discuss your professional development goals and planned course of graduate study.
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of professional competencies (e.g. economics, finance, business math, and accounting). This requirement can be accomplished through college/university transcripts showing a 3.0 GPA or better, successful completion of an on-line assessment test provided by Fermanian Business School, or enrollment in Business Basics courses available through the Fermanian Business School.
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of business law, marketing, and business communications. This requirement can be accomplished through college/university transcripts showing a 3.0 GPA or better, professional experience, or enrollment in Business Basics courses available through the Fermanian School of Business.
Exceptions Policy: Applicants who do not meet the above standards, but can demonstrate that they have an exceptionally rich professional experience and/or have demonstrated dramatic change in academic performance, may petition the Fermanian School of Business to review their status. The Fermanian School of Business will follow the exceptions policy as published in the current catalog.
