1902 Pacific Bible College founded in Los Angeles by Dr. Phineas Bresee; enrolls 41 students.

The Pacific Bible College first opened its doors for the fall term on September 29, 1902.

The following announcement had been published in the Nazarene Messenger of August 14, 1902: This college is not sectarian, but is in the broad sense Christian, being under the control of the Church of the Nazarene. It seeks not sectarianism--but Bible culture for all men and women who may desire to avail themselves of its advantages to prepare to do the work of the Lord in such fields, foreign or domestic, as He calls, under such auspices as shall be providential.
