1958 Student Jim Bond stands outs on the basketball court.

gfx_58_BondBBWithout a doubt "Gentleman Jim," as he is known to his many friends and fans, will go down in Pasadena College history as one of its all-time greats. This 6'5" Texan has already set every existing PC record for rebounding and seems a cinch to become one of the school's top scorers. Jim attended Pampa Texas High School, where he twice won both all-American and all-State honors and helped start the PHS Harvesters on a 72-game winning streak. In addition to being an outstanding athlete, Bond has won the friendship of his classmates and last year served as president of his class as well as being one of six speakers selected for the student spiritual emphasis week. Jim's wonderful jumping ability, excellent jump shot, good speed and unusual point make him both a leader and constant threat on the court. Having been selected to the Redlands Invitational Tournament's all-tourney team for the past three years, Bond stands a good chance of making it again this fall and if he does, will become one of the few, if not the only, cagers to have the distinction.
