Welcome to the PLNU Creation Care Web page. The week of October 6th through October 11th 2008, will include a variety of events and displays on the theme of responsible care of our natural resources
– that is, opportunities for listening, reading, speaking and acting now to bequeath the planet to the next generation as we found it or better.
Highlights of the week include: Tours of our current solar panel installations, Native Plant Tours, A Creation Care Fair, and a fundraising dinner for Floresta.
This will be the sixth annual Creation Care Week and this year brings the return of the weeks favorite events along with some new and exciting feautures. The poppular Creation Care Fair will be held once again at the Campus Mall on Wednesday, October from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Exhibit tables will be presented by a number of governmental, nongovernmental and advocacy groups for the purpose of educating the PLNU community on environmental needs, on the work of the various organizations, and on opportunities for volunteer service.
Two PLNU service opportunities will be held, one off campus and one on. Transportation will be provided to the off-campus site.
Displays in Ryan Library and in The Common Knowledge Bookstore will highlight books on creation care themes, more than one of which have PLNU authors.
