Advising Students

Each department/school is responsible for the advising of those students who have declared themselves to be pursuing a program offered by the department/school. It is the responsibility of the chair/school dean, in consultation with the director of Academic Advising, to insure that each student majoring in the department/school is assigned an advisor from among the department/school faculty. The advisor is to counsel and approve the programs of each advisee.

Departmental/School Scholarships

Each department/school is encouraged to maintain a file on available scholarship opportunities for the students concentrating in the department/school. During the spring semester, the chair/school dean, upon the recommendation of the department/school faculty, is to forward the names of departmental/school scholarship winners to the director of Student Financial Services.
