Adjunct Positions in Arcadia and Mission Valley Regional Centers

The Arcadia and Mission Valley Regional Centers are seeking candidates for the following areas for adjunct faculty

  1. K-12 Special Education Program: Coursework for all credential levels and Master of Arts in Education, both mild-moderate and moderate-severe programs.
  2. K-12 Educational Administration Program: Coursework for all credential levels and Master of Arts in Education; field supervision for both Tier I and Tier II candidates.
  3. Preliminary and Professional ClearCredential Program: Methodology coursework, advanced coursework for the professional clear credential, placement, and supervision of student teachers, developing intensive partnerships with school districts.
  4. K-12 Mathematics and/or Science Education (Arcadia Regional Center only): Content/methodology coursework.

Desired Qualifications and Special Areas of Expertise

  • Evidence of an active commitment to Christian fellowship, ministry and service
  • Evidence of high moral and ethical standards and a willingness to participate in and contribute to an intentional university Christian community
  • Evidence of highly successful teaching/administration in both K-12 and higher education settings, focused on significant student learning in a standards-aligned, accountability based instructional system (Minimum of five years teaching or administrative experience in a K-12 system and in higher education)
  • Proven expertise in developing and implementing standards-aligned assessment systems
  • Proven expertise as a K-12 teacher/administrator working with diverse student populations
  • Proven expertise in scholarly research with an earned doctorate or near completion of a doctorate desired; Masters level degree required
  • Evidence of strong leadership, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability, flexibility and willingness to teach a versatile range of evening classes
  • Willingness to significantly support the university's mission and the School of Education's vision and goals for teaching, learning and spiritual formation
  • Proven expertise in the applied use of technology to support and inform improved teaching and learning
  • Evidence of a commitment to continuous professional development
  • Evidence of active participation in professional educational organizations
