U. CONCLUSION OF EMPLOYMENT
At the time a faculty member leaves the employment of the University, whether by retirement, resignation, or dismissal, a number of arrangements need to be made. Some are of primary importance to the University. Some are important to the individual. Others are vital to the ongoing educational program.
The following items must be certified as having been cared for by the responsible department chair/school dean before the final paycheck is authorized to be issued by the Business Office:
- All keys issued to the faculty member returned to the department chair/school dean.
- All grade books (electronic or otherwise) submitted to the department chair/school dean.
- All items of University equipment assigned to the faculty member turned in or accounted for.
- All personal items removed from the University premises.
- All library materials returned to the library.
- Arrangements made in the Business Office for all financial obligations which might be outstanding such as loans or advances.
- An exit interview conducted with the Office of Human Resources in regard to all insurance and benefit programs.
- A forwarding address supplied.
