K. INITIAL RANKING

Newly employed faculty are ranked through the following process:
  1. The college dean completes the promotion form and forwards it to the Provost for submission to the Faculty Status Committee.
  1. The Faculty Status Committee makes a recommendation to the President.
  1. The final decision on initial rank rests with the President.
