The following faculty ranks are approved for use:

• Professor
• Associate Professor
• Assistant Professor
• Instructor

Each of the above ranks may be modified by the term 1) "visiting" for temporary faculty who meet all of the qualitative and quantitative criteria or 2) "adjunct" for individuals meeting these requirements, but who are not under a full-time contract. A person with unusual qualifications may be designated as a "distinguished professor or lecturer" by action of the President.
