C. DISCIPLINARY MEASURES

Non-academic discipline for resident students is first handled by the Residence Hall Disciplinary Council. Serious cases, commuter students, and all second offenders are handled by the Judicial Council.

Each incident is handled on a case by case basis. Violations of conduct codes as stated in the University Catalog and the Student Handbook under the "Statement of Policies and Regulations" can result in, but are not limited to, disciplinary probation, community service, required sessions with a private Christian counselor, suspension, and/or dismissal. All tobacco, alcohol, and drug violations proceed directly to the Associate Dean of Students/Residential Life for action. All appeals of Judicial Council action regarding dismissal are heard by the Vice President for Student Development.
