Graphic Design

Department of Art and Design

When someone hands you a brochure, what makes you open it? Does the image engage your attention? Is the text easy to read? Graphic designers use layout, design, photography, font, text spacing, and other techniques to create appealing brochures, flyers, magazines, Web sites, banners, posters and other projects. The field of graphic design includes both print and multimedia. If you are interested in studying graphic design, it will help to be creative, flexible, organized, and good at working with others. You will also need to be able to put clients’ needs first.
