Department of Kinesiology

Students wishing to go to physical therapy school upon graduation have the option of taking courses towards any major they desire. However, most students will major primarily in either athletic training, exercise science, or physical education.

Overview

PLNU’s Pre-Physical Therapy and Allied Health Program is co-advised by Leon M. Kugler and Rebecca J. Flietstra, who advise and encourage students wishing to pursue admission to physical therapy school. In addition, they assist in internship placement and preparation for the application process, including writing letters of recommendation and preparing students for the admission interview. Students are encouraged to take internships with the university’s athletic training department.
