Overview
PLNU offers a youth ministry minor through its School of Theology and Christian Ministry. Students are required to take lower level Bible classes, introduction to youth ministry, a course in developmental psychology, and more. Upper division requirements include courses on preaching, evangelism and missions, and either worship or hymnology.
In addition to the minor, students who major in christian ministry can also choose the youth ministry concentration.
Special Features:
- Opportunity for qualified students to participate in a semester-long internship with a local church, earning full-time practical experience. Interns are under joint supervision of the university faculty and a local pastor.
