The centerpiece of the entire FIRST-YEAR EXPERIENCE at Point Loma Nazarene University, Psychology 101 - Psychology of Personal Development, is an introduction to theories and issues in psychology as these relate to the student's own level of need to develop socially, mentally, and spiritually.

The seminar deals with attitudes and skills which contribute to academic success. Specifically understanding Point Loma as an academic, religious, and social culture, is given special focus. Colloquia, lectures, and small group laboratory experiences are used.

Enrollment is restricted to freshman students and transfers with fewer than 24 units.
