Introduction to Assessment: Why, What and How?

Description: A basic introduction to assessment at PLNU.

Questions: What does WASC expect? Why are we doing assessment? How do we get started? What model has PLNU adopted for doing assessment? How do we formulate goals? What evidence is acceptable?

How can we craft quantitative methods to inform qualitative goals? How do we craft a variety of methods in order to attain balanced results and better reliability?

Questions: How do we know that our program is successful? How do we know we’re achieving what we say we are, or what we want to achieve? What is realistic? How do we make adjustments? How do we know whether data is reliable?
