Courses that Consider Gender Equality Issues

All the courses in the Women’s Studies Minor.

Psychology 101 (Freshman Psychology, required of all students)
          Always includes a convocation that centers on gender issues and that is then discussed in the small class settings

Writing 110 (Freshman Composition, required of all students)
          Tacit interest in providing readings that present non-Western materials, writing by women or by persons of color.

Literature 201, 202, 203; 205, 206, 207, 208; 254, 255; 256, 257
Tacit interest in providing readings that present non-Western material, writing by women or by persons of color.
The literature courses in the department taught by the six literature professors (of 8 total) with strong feminist convictions invariably have literature by women and include feminist pedagogy and feminist criticism.
