Academic Planning Process
Conversation and faculty involvement is essential

The plan has four purposes:

  • To outline institutional academic philosophy
  • To document current practice (on a high level) and provide evidence of our practice (e.g. a HUGE appendix and one of WASC’s top priorities)
  • To indicate general direction in areas related to academics
  • To identify some specific initiatives that will help us become a better institution (these are short term items arising out of the general directions and will be updated on an annual basis).

Faculty Conversations:

  • 3:00-4:30 p.m. (with snacks!)
  • Teleconference connections to sites outside of San Diego County
  • Follow up visits in Arcadia and Bakersfield
  • Documents in Faculty Shared one week in advance – responses encouraged
