Academic Planning Process
Conversation and faculty involvement is essential
The plan has four purposes:
- To outline institutional academic philosophy
- To document current practice (on a high level) and provide evidence of our practice (e.g. a HUGE appendix and one of WASC’s top priorities)
- To indicate general direction in areas related to academics
- To identify some specific initiatives that will help us become a better institution (these are short term items arising out of the general directions and will be updated on an annual basis).
Faculty Conversations:
- 3:00-4:30 p.m. (with snacks!)
- Teleconference connections to sites outside of San Diego County
- Follow up visits in Arcadia and Bakersfield
- Documents in Faculty Shared one week in advance – responses encouraged
