Chapter News

We have had a most awesome year and it’s because of the work done in our Chapters. We are blessed to have very capable and committed leaders and workers that are dedicated and talented.

August 2008

Sacramento:

Delois Metcalf runs a group of over 100 ladies out in Sacramento. They are gifted, dedicated and very faithful. I know some of them are going through tough times but they keep going and keep delivering for the students of Point Loma. We are constantly amazed and impressed, Delois. God go with you through another year!

Orange:

Our Orange group is about 50 strong right now and run by Shirley Schulz and Donna Gunter. They are planning a big even for fall or Christmastime and are faithful and hardworking. Thanks, ladies, for stepping in and taking this position for now.

Whittier:

Jeanne Kall is in charge of this group of about 40 people and they continue to work hard at each of their events. They do a yearly garage sale and are very popular at Homecoming each year. Thanks for all of your hard work, Jeanne, and for being so faithful. We know you will have another great year!

San Diego:

Our group closest to the University is about 130 members strong and run by a very active, talented Susan Brownlee. They are always present on campus with booths at NSO, graduation and Homecoming. Cake sales are increasing each year and keep about 50 different ladies baking and decorating. A big dinner and Silent Auction was held on March 14th and brought in many members-along with a very nice donation for our project. You constantly amaze me, Susan. I’m so proud of your hard working team!

Long Beach:

Joan Miller runs this chapter of about 35 ladies. We are excited for them as they get started up once again and know they will be doing events and making contributions in more ways than just financially. Thanks for your excitement, Joan. We know this group is going to do great things!

High Desert:

This hardworking group is led by Marge Goslaw and they have about 20 members. We are always impressed with their drive and determination-considering the fact that they DO drive a long way for each event. They have some good ideas that they are working on to spark interest in our auxiliary and we are excited to see what will happen in the days ahead. Thank you, Marge, for your precious servant’s heart and your constant faith and commitment.

Baldy View:

Arlane Hart leads this group of about 60 people and we are so proud of them. Their big event was held April 5th this year. The dinner and silent auction was attended by over 300 people and they sent a huge check in for the project! We know these events are becoming legendary and you don’t want to miss the next one. Hang onto your hats, ladies! Arlane’s group is ready, willing and able and doing a fantastic job for the Auxiliary. You never know what will happen next!

Thank you to each and every member, leader, and worker and to all who attended one of our events this year. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for us in the days ahead!
