Criteria for Alumni Awards:
- Significant and outstanding accomplishments professionally, academically, and/or in service to a non profit organization
- A strong Christian testimony
- Significant impact on the lives of others
- Received a baccalaureate, post-graduate, or honorary degree from our institution
Awards:
This award is given to recognize significant and outstanding accomplishments in: a
profession, academics, and/or service to a non-profit organization. Each year
three or four alumni are selected to receive this award.
This is the highest award presented by the Alumni Association. It is given to
recognize a lifetime of significant and outstanding accomplishments in:
a profession, academics, and/or service to a non-profit organization. Each year one
layperson and one minister are selected to receive this award.
Anyone may nominate a Pasadena/Point Loma alum for an alumni award. To nominate an individual, please fill out the online surveys (see links above) or send a letter or email to our office addressing the above criteria. Please indicate whether the nomination is for the APL or DA award.
Please, do not tell the nominee or any of their family members about the nomination.
If you can discretely obtain a resume without the nominee's knowledge, please include their resume or vita.
If you can tell us two other people who know the nominee well, please do.
We are able to conduct some research to obtain the resume and additional information but the more information you can provide, the stronger the incoming nomination..
Selection will be completed in August and the award recipients will be contacted at that time.
