Bryeanne Summers graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) with a B.F.A. in Graphic Design and a minor in Studio Arts. She began her graphic design career working for Morningstar Financial, designing client-based print and multi-media packages . As a Sr. Graphic Designer for The Society of Actuaries in Chicago she soon became the graphic design department champion, leading designers’ conceptualization and direction through project solution and management of all design department tasks, thus earning her various Financial Industry print-design awards. In a contracted position as Art Director for Rolette, LLC, a board game company, she was instrumental in the development of a geography themed educational board game for children, “Postcards from America.” This game has been recognized and given an educational award by Parents Media.

 

Most recently attending Indiana University-Bloomington to receive her M.F.A in graphic design, Bryeanne was awarded the Glaubinger Fellowship and Friends of Art Scholarship for every year she attended school. Her design efforts have been highly recognized and much of her work and pieces have been shown in the SoFA Gallery, Fuller Projects Art Gallery, Indiana University Art Museum, Waldron Art Gallery, Indianapolis Museum of Art and Tipoteca Museum in Italy As a teacher for Indiana University within the Graphic Design department, Bryeanne taught 2D, Color Theory and Typography and was also an Adjunct for the School of Journalism teaching Publication Design. At PLNU Bryeanne currently teaches graphic design, web design, interactive design, history of graphic design and design seminar. You can reach her at bryeannesummers@pointloma.edu
