Lael Corbin is a native San Diegan and received a B.A. in Painting and Sculpture from Point Loma Nazarene University in 1999.
After graduation he moved to Hawaii, where he studied figure sculpture at the Honolulu Art Academy. In 2007 Lael received his M.F.A. in Sculpture at San Diego State University. Following graduation he received the San Diego Art Prize, identifying him as one of San Diego's top three emerging artists.
His installations and sculpture have been seen at local venues such as the Produce Gallery, SDSU, UCSD, PLNU, Simayspace, Oceanside Museum of Art, L Street Gallery, and Seminal Projects. He was the recipient of the 2008 San Diego Art Prize; Emerging Artist.
Lael returned to Point Loma Nazarene University as an Adjunct Professor in 2005 and teaches 2-D Design, Drawing I and II, Digital Photography, and oversees the Art Department's shops and facilities.
