November 10: Tiffany Kracy (soccer) and Greg Murray (basketball)

Tiffany had another huge week and it couldn't have come at a better time. In two GSAC Tournament games the freshman keeper notched 16 official saves. In a 1-0 win against The Master's she turned back 5 shots. In a semifinal upset at Azusa Pacific she stopped 11 shots in 110 minutes of action and then had two stops in the penalty kick shootout which PLNU won 3-1. The Sea Lions advanced to the conference finals for the first time ever. |
 | Greg Murray led PLNU men's hoops in scoring in two games last week. In the season-opener at Fisk he scored 24 points on a 9-for-11 shooting night to lead the Sea Lions to the win. In a tough two-point loss at Trevecca Nazarene, Murray scored 15 points. |
October 27: Erica Wessels (soccer) and Eric Leboffe (soccer)

Erica scored the only goal for PLNU in two games last week. Her goal, late in the match against Biola, proved to be the game-winner. It was the second header from the sophomore defender that won a game for the No. 17-ranked Sea Lions this year. |
 | Senior goal keeper Eric Laboffe had another great week, though the results didn't translate to the final results. At Vanguard Laboffe had five saves in a double overtime 0-0 tie. Against No. 11-ranked Biola he stopped six shots, many of them highlight quality saves. Unfortunately, the Sea Lions lost 1-0.

Tiffany Kracy, a 5-11,
freshman goalkeeper from Whittier, Calif., turned back eight shots in
PLNU's 2-0 shutout victory over No. 3 California Baptist on Oct. 13,
for her seventh shutout of the season. Kracy followed that performance
with
four more saves in a 2-1 double overtime win over Golden State Athletic
Conference foe Westmont (Calif.). She ranks 14th nationally in
goals against per game at 0.520, having allowed only seven goals in 13
contests.

 | Freshman outside hitter Maddie Dahms led the Sea Lions in kill in both matches last week. Against No. 1 ranked Fresno Pacific Dahms had 9 kills and then she posted 15 in a much-need win at The Master's College. The Poway HS product has 185 kills on the year.

Freshman keeper Tiffany Kracy saved all five shots on goal attempted last week
as PLNU won two GSAC contests by shut out. Against San Diego Christian Kracy had
two saves in a 2-0 win and then had three saves in a 1-0 victory at Hope
International. |
 | Sophomore Grant Cowles might take silly pictures but he scored three goals last week in a pair of PLNU wins. He scored twice against San Diego Christian in a 5-2 triumph and then notched another goal in a 3-2 win at Hope International.

October 5: Volleyball Team and Eric Leboffe (soccer)

The volleyball team went 2-0 last week, defeating Hope International 3-0 Tuesday and then pulling off the upset win over No. 2-ranked Concordia in five sets Saturday. It was a huge win for the #10-ranked PLNU which improved to 15-3 on the year, 5-3 in conference play. |
 | Senior Eric Leboffe did all he could for the Sea Lions last week. Though the team suffered two losses the senior keeper made 11 saves against two ranked squads. He had four saves at #13 Concordia and then had seven saves - many of them spectacular - versus No. 2-ranked Azusa Pacific.

Setter Kylie Morel helped lead the No. 10-ranked Sea Lions to a pair of important conference wins last week - both coming on the road. On Tuesday at San Diego Christian she dished out 18 assists with nine digs, six kills, three blocks and two service aces. At Westmont, on Saturday, Kylie had 14 assists with seven digs, five kills, and a block. |
September 21: Brooke Winklepleck (women's soccer) and Will MacNeil (men's cross country)

Brooke Winklepleck, a freshman forward scored her second goal of the year, the game-winner at Embry-Riddle (AZ). Her goal came in the 57th minute when Winklepleck drove past the Lady Eagle defense and put the ball into the net. It would be the only score of the match as the No. 24-ranked Sea Lions improved to 4-0-1 on the year. |
 | Sophomore Will MacNeil has stepped it up in his second collegiate campaign. Last Saturday, at the Aztec Invitational, he was the first Sea Lion to complete the 8K race, crossing the finish line at 27:18. MacNeil was 25th overall in an event that mainly consisted of NCAA DI athletes. |
September 14: Nicole Eiler, Volleyball

Freshman libero Nicole Eiler has been a solid defensive presence for the NAIA No. 7-ranked Sea Lions all season. Last week, as the team opened up conference play, Eiler totaled 46 digs in two matches with three aces and five assists. In a 3-1 win against The Master's she had 25 digs, two aces and a pair of assists. She then tallied 21 digs, three digs and a service ace in a 3-1 loss to No. 1-ranked Fresno Pacific.
The Sea Lions are 11-1 on the season. Eiler leads the team with 195 digs.

September 7: Tabitha Henken, Volleyball and Jon Fielding, Soccer

Sophomore Tabitha Henken led NAIA No. 8-ranked Point Loma
Nazarene to 5 wins last week at the Asics-Crowne Plaza Labor Day Tournament,
including wins over No. 17 Indiana Tech and No. 13 Olivet Nazarene IL. For the
week, she had 86 kills (4.78 k/g), 44 digs (2.44 d/g), 7 aces and 5 assist
blocks. She had double-figure kills in each match including 25 in a 5-setter
against Carroll MT and 21 against Great Falls MT.
Henken was named as the GSAC Player of the Week on Monday and on Tuesday was selected as the NAIA Player of the Week! |
 | Senior midfielder Jon Fielding directed the Sea Lions to a 5-0 shutout win over visiting George Fox (OR) last week. Fielding was in control on both sides of the field against GFU. On defense he prevented the Bruins from setting up any plays and on offense he assisted on the team's first three goals, two coming on corner kicks (a corner that he shot went in, but PLNU was called for a foul).
"We scored from set plays," said Fielding, a team captain, after the match. "Our game plan came together today."

August 31: Tabitha Henken, Volleyball

Sophomore outside hitter Tabitha Henken was unstoppable during the two-day Seaside Invitational hosted by PLNU last weekend. Henken led the Sea Lions to four wins, smashing 87 kills with a.357 hitting average. Against Mount Vernon Nazarene she nailed 37 winners in pacing the Sea Lions to a 3-1 victory.
“I trained hard over the summer and I am confident with my team,” said Henken
who had 71 attempts against Mount Vernon, for a .465 percentage. “We have a
system down, we play as a team. Also, having experience here helps too.”.
