2007 Major League Baseball draft. Lowe was a sixth-round pick of the

23rd round and Cameron was grabbed in the 31st round by the Pittsburgh

| MLB's all-time saves leader, Trevor Hoffman, came out to PLNU. The
Padre closer threw out the first pitch of Wednesday's game versus San
Diego Christian and met with players and fans. PLNU starter Taylor
Cameron would not have needed the closer's services, however, tossing

Mike Ekstrom Named Padres Minor League Pitcher of the Year
11/13 - Former Point Loma
Nazarene hurler, Mike Ekstom, was named as the Padres 2006 minor league
Pitcher of the Year. Ekstrom, San Diego's 12th-round selection in the
2004 First-Year Player Draft, began the season at Single-A Lake
Elsinore where he went 7-4 with a 2.30 ERA (21 ER/82.1 IP) in 14
starts. His win total tied for the team-high as he helped to lead the
