As a Sophomore (2008)Started 13 games on the hill for the Sea Lions, and made two appearances out of the bullpen… posted a 7-4 record, and a 4.35 ERA… fanned a team high 55 batters allowing just 14 walks in 80.2 innings… pitched five innings of one-hit, shutout ball on 1/31 against Simpson… went eight innings in a 5-4 win against Fresno Pacific on 4/19 striking out 13 batters.
As a Freshman (2007)Started one game and pitched 16 in his inaugural season… record of 3-1 with two saves… excellent 2.37 ERA after allowing just nine earned runs in 30.1 innings pitched… fanned 26 batters, walking only five with a .254 opposing batting average... first collegiate win came on 2/15 after a two-inning stint against Cal Baptist... tossed six innings on 3/6 vs. Dakota Wesleyan to earn the win... pitched three scoreless innings on 4/28 vs. Vanguard to earn third win... saves came on 1/26 against Patten and 3/29 vs. Concordia.
Prior to PLNUCompeted for two years on varsity as a Warrior for Coach Matt Parker… once pitched a one-hit shutout for seven innings… ERA of 2.50 his senior year with 65 strikeouts… record was 14-4… won the Avocado League title three years in a row… also played soccer… a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Warriors for Christ.
PersonalBorn February 10, 1988… son of Jeff and Laura… father played baseball at Missouri… has one sister, Holly… came to Point Loma for the beautiful baseball field… would rather use wooden bats… favorite movie is A Knight’s Tale… cheers for the Padres and the Braves… enjoys eating pasta... major is business administration… foresees himself leading in the business world after college.
