Coach Ben Foster Inducted into NAIA Hall of Fame

5/19 - Point Loma Nazarene University's Ben Foster was inducted into the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Hall of Fame into the category of golf coach on Monday. His induction was held at the banquet held on the campus of St. Ambrose University as part of the banquet held for the 2009 Golf National Championships. Read More

Sam Cyr Earns 2008 Nicklaus Award

June 10- Sam Cyr was named to the All-Nicklaus Team by the Golf Coaches Association of America. Cyr is the NAIA Nicklaus Award recipient due to winning the NAIA National Championship. Read More

Cyr and Kelley Tabbed as NAIA All-Americans

PLNU golfers Sam Cyr and Brandon Kelley were named to the NAIA All-American teams. Cyr, a senior, won both the NAIA Region II and NAIA National Championships, earning 1st team selections. Kelley, a junior, took sixth at regionals and was a 2nd team pick. Complete List

3/18 - Point Loma Nazarene senior Brandan Kelley and junior Sam Cyr tied for the individual title of the non-NCAA Division One portion of the Elco Invitational hosted by Cal State Bakersfield. PLNU Wins Drake/ Carlton Oaks Invitational

2/19 - Point Loma Nazarene cruised to the team title at the Drake/Carlton Oaks Invitational on Tuesday. The Sea Lions opened Monday morning by shooting a 294 followed by a 301 later that afternoon and finally another 294 on Tuesday for a three-round 889 total. Read More

Sam Cyr Advances to Round of 32 at U.S. Amateur Public Links Champs

PLNU golfer Sam Cyr made the cut - by one stroke - at the 82nd U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship on Wednesday by posting a two-round 151, good for a tie for 49th place. Cyr went on to beat Garrett Jones 4 & 2 in the first round of match play on Wednesday before falling to Cory Nagy 2 & 1 in the round of 32 on Thursday. Read More
