The Sea Lion softball team has a new home: the Naval Mine and Anti-Submarine Warfare Command (NMAWC) Field. The field is terrific with ample parking, restroom facilities and bleacher seating. It is also close to campus, restaurants, hotels and sits next to beautiful San Diego Bay. But, as it is on a Naval Base, there are some requirements for teams and fans to follow...

We (PLNU) need the names of every person that will be attending a game at the field, along with the make, model and license plate number of every vehicle that will be entering the base. In addition, we will need to know the event(s) and date(s) you will be attending. That information must be turned in 10 days prior to each attended event. All visitors must pass through a manned check point; please make sure to bring identification. Teams: It is very important to not only send us the information for the vehicles that your team will be arriving in, but your parents and fans must have their autos on the list as well. Please help us communicate this necessity with Navy security, to help avoid problems on game day.

How to Get NMAWC Field

The softball field is located at the Naval Mine and Anti-Submarine Warfare Command, San Diego. The entrance to the base is on Laning Road and North Harbor Drive, San Diego, CA, 92147. Once you pass through the gate, take a right on Chauncey Road. The field and parking lot are approximately 200 yards down on the right hand side



         ...San Diego International Airport (2 miles)

• Take Point Loma exit to North Harbor Drive. Turn right on North Harbor.
• Turn left at Laning Road to the main gate
  
• Once you pass through the gate, take a right on Chauncey Road. The field and parking lot are approximately 200 yards down on the right hand side
  
  From Point Loma Nazarene University (3.1 miles)
  
  
• Exit campus on Lomaland Drive
• Turn left on Catalina Blvd.
  
• Turn slight right on Canon Street
• Turn left on Rosecrans
• Turn right on N. Harbor Drive
• Turn right at Laning Road to the main gate
  
• Once you pass through the gate, take a right on Chauncey Road. The field and parking lot are approximately 200 yards down on the right hand side
  
  From I-5 Northbound
  
  
• Take San Diego Airport / Hawthorn Street exit (signs will direct you onto westbound Hawthorn Street).
• Proceed to N. Harbor Drive and turn right.
• Turn left at Laning Road to the main gate
• Once you pass through the gate, take a right on Chauncey Road. The field and parking lot are approximately 200 yards down on the right hand side

• Exit Rosecrans Blvd
  
• Proceed down Rosecrans approximately 2 miles
  
• Take left on Laning Rd (just past the Rock Church), cross N. Harbor to main gate
  
• Once you pass through the gate, take a right on Chauncey Road. The field and parking lot are approximately 200 yards down on the right hand side
  
  From State Route 163
  
  
• Take State Route 163 Southbound to I-5 North and follow directions above for I-5 Northbound or exit I-8 and follow directions below
