PLNU Defeats Vanguard at Nationals

12/5- It was a team effort as Point Loma Nazarene defeated conference rivals Vanguard 3-1 (23-25, 25-18, 25-18, 25-22) in a playoff round match of the NAIA single-elimination championship bracket Friday morning. The Sea Lions will play Concordia (CA) in a quarterfinal match at 6:15 pm (pst) later on Friday. Read More

Sea Lions Rally Past Black Hills State

12/4 - Down two sets to one and on the brink of elimination, Point Loma Nazarene rallied to win the final two sets and claim a 3-2 win over Black Hills State Thursday afternoon in the final match of NAIA National Tournament Pool Play (25-23, 20-25, 23-25, 25-18, 15-13). 12/3 - The Sea Lions fell to undefeated and No. 1-ranked Fresno Pacific 3-1 Wednesday. No. 13-rated PLNU falls to 1-1 in NAIA Pool Play action. A win over Black Hills on Thursday, however, will put advance the Sea Lions into to the championship bracket. Read More

Sea Lions Hold Clinic at Hunt Elementary

12/1 - On Monday the PLNU Women's Volleyball team, in Sioux City for the NAIA National Volleyball Tournament, went to Hunt Elementary School and put on an assembly. The Sea Lions talked about health, hard work at school and being a good teammate. Slideshow

Dueck Named to All-Conference Team

11/19 - Point Loma senior middle blocker Christy Dueck was named to the All-GSAC team on Wednesday. Dueck led the conference with 134 blocks and also had 153 kills. Complete All-GSAC list

Match at Westmont Cancelled due to Fires

11/14 - Point Loma's match at Westmont scheduled for Friday, November 14, has been cancelled due to the Santa Barbara fire that reached the Westmont campus. No make up date is expected as it was the final match of the regular season. Read More

Sea Lions Win 5-Setter Against APU

11/ 8- Saturday's GSAC tilt between No. 14-ranked Point Loma Nazarene and No. 6 Azusa Pacific was billed as the NAIA Match of the Week.
