Tim Jollett, Assistant Coach
Tim Jollett is in his first year as an assistant coach at
PLNU. His main duties on Westphal’s staff are to work with the team’s defense as
well as individual player development. He will also scout GSAC opponents.
Jollett is a very successful prep coach in the San Diego area. He coached boy’s
basketball at Sierra High School and has led girl’s teams at Christian and
Grossmont High Schools. At Christian, Jollett’s squads advanced to the CIF
semifinals twice and his Grossmont teams won a league title.
He came to PLNU because he “enjoys the Christ-centered,
higher education setting which teaches from a Christ-centered world view.
I am learning a lot every day, the athletes
are at a high level, they are respectful, teachable, welcome challenges, and
are fast learners.” He also says, “the location isn’t bad.”
Tim works for the San Diego Unified School District. He is
married to wife, De Etta. Their two daughters, Mallorie and Jessica, both attended PLNU.
Tim also volunteers
in the community, helping to lead “City of Refuge” ministry, which assists the
homeless, at-risk youth and needy.
