* Very desirous of attending PLNU (irregardless of basketball) and is excited about the institutional mission.

* Excited about playing basketball -- in love with the sport to the degree that the expected 12 month commitment to developing basketball skills and abilities is not dreaded or "tolerated" but anxiously anticipated!

* Committed to academic achievement -- to the same extent that they are committed to basketball excellence.

* Respectful of all unique rules and requirements at PLNU.

* Committed to consistently applying the same level of mental and physical intensity to practice as they do to games.

* At least the potential of being a key sub as a freshman or sophomore...and the potential to be a starter as a junior.

* A transfer (junior) should be skilled and polished to the point of approximating the skill level of a starter.
