American Institute of Graphic Artists (AIGA): This is a national organization for graphic designers whose goal is to further excellence in communication design. It is a venue for graphic design/graphic communication majors to exchange ideas, practice skills, and advance education. We will bring in outside businesses and design firms in order to network for possible future job opportunities.
Artist’s Society: The Artist’s Society caters to students interested in the arts and those considering a career within the discipline. It is the goal of the society to expand members’ creativeness and world view, while learning new and exciting techniques that help express their individuality.
Financial Management Association (FMA): A professional organization, FMA is for students interested in business. It is the goal of the association to help students with career choices by providing outlets to explore the opportunities available in the business world.
Phi Alpha Theta: Phi Alpha Theta is a national history honor society. We are concerned with promoting a love of history through various adventures and activities that help one learn about and enjoy the subject. This club hopes to equip students for success.
Psi Chi: Psi Chi is the national psychology honor society. We are a professional organization whose purpose is to facilitate activities that enhance students’ education and to encourage the interest and professional goals of our members.
The Social Work Club: The Social Work Club exists to increase the level of functioning between students and staff within the social work department. This club strives to serve in areas of noticeable need within the community and provide a social outlet for students wherein they can voice opinions and find peer support. We hope to encourage the application of our academic endeavors and develop a better understanding of the social work profession campus-wide.
Students for Social Justice (SSJ): SSJ gives students the opportunity to look outside of the Point Loma campus at issues that affect the church body on a daily basis. All are welcome to be a part of this life-changing club.
Student Nurses' Association of Point Loma (SNAPL): SNAPL partakes in many on-campus projects such as flu vaccinations and nursing services. We are also active in the community, making Point Loma well known in the medical community. We offer great support to nursing students and give them an opportunity to learn about professional nursing.
Tri Beta (BBB): Tri-Beta is a national honor society for biology and bio-chemistry majors. We strive to provide a relaxed atmosphere for biology students to get to know each other and to be a network for support. We have monthly activities and open our doors to students outside of the biology and chemistry departments
