The Way – Freshman Wilderness Orientation

Build unique friendships while spending a week in God's amazing creation of the southern Sierra mountians! This one week adventure is open to first-year Point Loma students before the start of the fall semester.

Summer 2008 The Way

When:
Saturday, July 19 – Saturday, July 26, 2008
Where: Meet at and return to PLNU campus
Backpacking in Cottonwood Lakes area, east of Lone Pine, CA
Cost:
$300 ($275 if post marked by May1st, 2008)
What: Learn basic skills for backpacking while developing as a young adult. This trip weaves through the most amazing areas of the Golden Trout and John Muir Wilderness. Covering about 5 miles of trail a day, we will have time to talk about the challenges and rewards of stepping off into the unknown that your university experience will bring. Plan on creating friendships that will last longer than your time at Point Loma!
