Our Mission
It is the mission of Career Services to "bridge the gap" between one's college education and the career world by offering services to prepare and market oneself and through encouraging them to implement faith into their vision for the future.
Our Center
The Career Services Center is located on the south end of the Bond Academic Center. Our center has a wide variety of resources available to our students including: career counseling, resume helps, student employment, a large career resources library, assessment testing, student computers, and a friendly staff willing and ready to serve you.

Graduated with a History degree from George Fox University in 1974. Taught high school and jr. high history and senior social studies for 12 years before coming to PLNU.
Acquired a Masters in Counseling from San Diego State University in 1990. Received an Education Specialist degree from PLNU in 1996.
Charlie is currently completing his 21st year as Director of Career Services here at PLNU.
Charlie is available for career assessment, counseling, job search information, and numerous other services.

Started attending Point Loma College in September, 1973. Took a long break to marry and have children, but returned and finished her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Point Loma Nazarene College in May, 1996.
Was a small business owner of an electronics firm for nine years. As a result has had experience in interviewing and hiring procedures.
Debbi returned to work at her alma mater (now Point Loma Nazarene University) during the summer of 2003 as the Student Employment Coordinator.
Debbi is responsible for posting both on and off campus jobs on the PLNU Web Job Board. She also helps students do all of their mandatory paperwork for on campus jobs. She also has e-mail distribution lists for students who are interested in doing temp and occasional jobs, such as babysitting, yard work, housework, personal care and miscellaneous jobs.
Debbi is always willing to look over a résumé, answer questions about available jobs, and give encouragement to the students.

Karen started working at PLNU in March 2006. A recent graduate from Coleman College (October 2005) earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. She is involved in various church activities including teaching Sunday school to K to 5.
Karen now provides support to the Director of Career Services, Student Employment Coordinator, schedules appointments for all students needing career counseling, and assists with assessment testing. She also provides backup support to students in the Academic Support Center for the International, Academic Advising, and Tutorial Directors.
