- Take courses, both in and outside your concentration, that are of interest to you and relate to your future career goals.
- Attend workshops on interviewing, networking and job search strategies.
- Meet with your faculty advisor to discuss your internship search strategy. You may also want to talk with Charlie Howard in Career Services to ask career related questions.
- Try to find a summer internship in a field you are seriously considering pursuing as a career. Remember that some internships available to juniors have deadlines as early as November 1. So start your search early.
- Update your resume and have it critiqued by employers at the Resume Critique session held in the spring. You can also stop by the Career Center and have it critiqued there anytime as well.
- Practice your interviewing skills with a mock interview at Career Services.
- Begin researching graduate programs if you are planning to go to school right after graduation. Attend the Graduate School Fair in the fall as well as any information sessions.
- If you plan to go to medical or law school immediately following graduation, take the MCAT or LSAT in the spring of your junior year.
- If you are considering government positions as a post graduation career path, begin to check the requirements this year. It can take as long as eight months to complete security checks for some positions.
- Purchase a suit for upcoming interviews.
- Visit Career Fairs just as you have done the first two years of college.
