Research conducted by Clark Greer and two professors from the College of Charleston in South Carolina was recently published in the Journal of Radio Studies, November 2007 issue. The study titled "Uses and gratifications of MP3 players by college studens: Are iPods more popular than radio?" was the result of a national survey of college students. In April 2007, the paper was presented at the annual convention of the Broadcast Education Association ans was named first place paper in the open category of the Radio and Audio division.
