Professor Forward Elected To Executive Council

Dr. G.L. Forward, PLNU Professor of Organizational Communication, was elected to the executive council of the Religious Communication Association (RCA) at its most recent business meeting in Chicago, IL.. The membership met Thursday, November 15 in conjunction with the National Communication Association conference.

RCA (www.americanrhetoric.com/rca/rcaabout.html), one of the larger NCA affiliate organizations, is a nonsectarian, academic society founded in 1973 by people interested in the study of all aspects of public religious communication. As an interfaith scholarly and professional organization, RCA seeks to promote honest, respectful and profound dialogue which reflects the diversity of religious beliefs, subject matter concerns, methodologies, and professions of its members which includes scholars, teachers, clergy, broadcasters, and students.

Forward was elected to a 3 year term as "Councilor" and is one of nine members of the Executive Board. Dr. Forward has previously served the organization as the Interpersonal/Organizational Division Chair and is currently a member of the Editorial Review board for its peer-reviewed publication The Journal of Communication and Religion.
