Erica C. Hansen (MOCM ’03) is currently living in NYC and working for Turner Broadcasting Sales, Inc. Erica received a promotion after only five months on the job. This is a first for Turner Broadcasting Sales, Inc. since no other Sales Representatives has accomplished this in under a year. She was promoted to the position of Account Representative on three networks under Time Warner / Turner Broadcasting: TBS, TNT and Court TV. She is completing her training and is looking forward to taking on the challenges and additional responsibilities expected with this promotion.

Erica will be working closely with an Account Executive managing between 20-30 clients. Some of her responsibilities include managing the accounts to ensure her clients receive all the services for which they have paid. She will also be responsible for re-scheduling air time that may have been interrupted by ‘breaking news, or sports games running into overtime’. This re-booking is very important since it involves ‘bottom line’ cost effectiveness for both the company and the client, a very important commodity in the business world!

Ms. Hansen indicates that the organizational communication training she received in our department has been critical to her success and she will continue to implement those skills in managing her clients which include Maybelline, G.E. , Hewlett Packard, Red Lobster, Fed Ex, H&R Block, to mention a few. So remember, when you are watching the networks mentioned in this article and a commercial is aired for one of these companies, it was put there by one of our own MOCM graduates, Erica C. Hansen!
