PLNU Senior Media Communication and Broadcasting Journalism Majors Get High Ratings From Professionals.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

This past year, PLNU’s media communication and broadcasting journalism students TV and film projects rated above average to outstanding by local media professionals.

Dr. Alan Hueth, Professor of Communications, was quite pleased with the seniors’ hard work, dedication, and creativity.

“This past year [I thought] these were some of our best students from the past five years,” Hueth says. “It takes a lot of effort to do these projects for them to come out well.”

Each year, three to five local media professionals come on campus to evaluate the students’ projects production quality, scriptwriting, and performance, and their professional internship skills. The media professional’s evaluation is based on “entry-level professional work.”

Graduating senior projects included short films, commercials, documentaries, news stories, and other projects that showcase what they’ve learned in their major. Dr. Hueth is impressed with the hard work and hours these graduating seniors put into these projects, and sums it up by saying, “These are just hard-working, dedicated students.”
