NAB Convention

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

On April 5, 2006, five PLNU students and two faculty traveled to Las Vegas, Nevada, to attend the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Convention. While at the convention the students were able to see the latest gear used in the industry for TV and film, and attend various workshops on production, editing, how to use equipment, and much more.

Over 50,000 professional broadcasters, educators and students attended this four-day event. Students met with professionals in different fields and were able to network with many important people and organizations in cable and broadcast TV. Students also watched award-winning productions produced by other students.

There are plans for another trip in April 2008. The Channel 3 staff will be offered the first opportunity; it will then be opened to other people in the program. The trip will be sponsored by Channel 3, ASB, and the provost office.
