The department is spending approximately $45,000 in new and upgraded equipment this year. 

This includes the following:

• 2 new Macintosh editing systems
• 3 new digital video/film cameras
• 1 new professional Arri lighting kit
• 4 lights for studio and field production
• 1 new boom mic and fishpole
• A new music library
• A variety of lighting, camera, and sound accessories
  

This equipment is added to an array of other studio and field video/film production systems, which include the following:

• A fully-equipped television studio, with three cameras, teleprompters, graphics, lighting and sound to produce taped and live programming on PLNU’s cable channel 3 
• 5 - Macintosh editing systems utilizing Final Cut Pro editing software
• 6 – digital video/film cameras w/tripods, microphones, and other accessories
• 3 – lighting kits
• A variety of filtering, c-stands, monitors, and other accessories for remote video and film shoots
