TEAM FLORESTA INTERN Reports to: Outreach Coordinator Internship Summary: Team Floresta: Initiate a program in which ‘Floresta Teams’ can be created so participants in races can use Floresta as their charity of choice. It allows their run to “count for more” while also engaging them in a community. Specific Tasks: Create a forum for Team Floresta runners to encourage each other and share training/ fundraising strategies on the web, host a Pasta Dinner the night before the race, and offer refreshments at the finish. Hours per week: 5-15 Requirements: Independent self-starter, organized, comfortable networking, and has passion for our cause Skills/Education: Microsoft Office, persuasive writing skills, organization Experience: Leadership, awareness of social-networks Benefits to the intern: Gain non-profit experience, have materials to add to your portfolio, gain experience in developing web based communities and mobilizing people.
