Information Concerning Alert Submittals
NOVEMBER DEADLINE INFO: Monday, November 16 Edition - the deadline for submissions is Thursday, November 12 at NOON. Monday, November 23 Edition - the deadline is Thursday, November 19. Monday, November 30 Edition - Tuesday, November 24 at NOON - this is due to the Thanksgiving holiday. No exceptions will be made for this edition.
NOTICE: THE DEADLINE FOR ALERT SUBMISSIONS IS NOON ON THURSDAY, FOR THE NEXT MONDAY EDITION. We cannot guarantee the publication of your announcement if received late. NOTE TAKING METHODS THAT WORK FOR YOU!
Cornell Note taking- divide your paper into three sections: Notes, Key Words, Summary
1. Notes- use outline format, short phrases, space between items for adding more information after class
2. Key Words- choose one or two words that summarize the topic
3. Summary-leave space at the bottom; during study time, summarize the topic covered in your own words
MAKING NOTES WORK FOR YOU!
1. Review notes the same day they’re taken
2. As you review, write additional key words or phrases in the left margin
3. Place a check mark beside the terms and facts you know
4. Review the words unchecked until all key words and facts are checked
