FUN FITNESS ELECTIVES!
PED 102.1 - Coach Shane Peterson teaches an athleticism class, Tuesdays and Thursday 7:30 - 9:10 a.m., January 12 to March 6
PED 102.2 - Tom Blamey offers Martial Arts, March 16 to May 14, 5 - 6:40 p.m. Check it out!
PED 102.4 - Ann Davis - Core Stability Balls and light weights. This class will incorporate some yoga and Pilates as well. Mondays and Wednesdays, 11 - 11:50 a.m. Check it out!

THANKSGIVING RECESS - Thanksgiving Recess will be from Wednesday, November 26, through Friday, November 28. There will be no classes on these days. Enjoy your holiday!
 

Financial and Scholarship Announcements 


DO YOU HAVE ANY FEEDBACK? - Each semester, Student Financial Services sends out numerous communications to all students regarding meal plans, health insurance, claiming loans, checking account balance, late fees, etc., but each semester we have many students say they never received this information. Do you have any suggestions for us for better communication strategies? For instance, are you reading this?? Please email sfs@pointloma.edu with any suggestions. What gets your attention? What information do you want from our office? What would you like to see on the website? How are we doing in helping you navigate your financial options? We’d love to hear from you!

CAREER SERVICES PRESENTS: THE ETIQUETTE DINNER - The "Etiquette Dinner" is offered to students in hopes that:
1. Each participant will be introduced to the basic social graces.
2. To instill in participants a sense of self-confidence in varied social and employment situations they will face.
Tuesday, December 2, in Cunningham Dining Room at 5 p.m. Five course meal, $16. Sign up in Career Services. 


Homecoming Announcements

*HOMECOMING TICKET SALES! - Homecoming tickets for PLNU Students, Staff and Faculty will be available for purchase Monday, November 17, through Friday, November 21, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Tickets may be purchased at the Information Booth (1st Floor, Nicholson Commons) or Student Development Office (3rd Floor, Nicholson Commons). Cost is $2 per ticket and includes a t-shirt. T-shirts are ONLY available in the Student Development Office, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., November 17 - 21. Tickets purchased at the Information Booth must be presented to the receptionist in the Student Development Office to receive a t-shirt. These tickets (with accompanying t-shirts) will also be available for purchase Saturday, November 22, from 10 a.m. until game time at the Golden Gym main entrance.

Visually Planning Time Master Timetable — Plan Ahead for Spring 2009


1. Obtain month-at-a-glance calendar with large blocks to write in, to post on a wall or on top of your study desk.
2. Record pertinent holidays, deadlines, and finals week dates listed on PLNU academic calendar.
3. Add major test dates, midterms and finals, major papers and projects dates listed on your class syllabi.
4. Add other important dates and deadlines that you know.
5. Display your semester planning calendar in a location you will view frequently.
6. Put this information in your student planner, pocket calendar, or PDA.
7. Add info in the Outlook appointment calendar and set the software to send reminders when you are online (you may be able to create similar online reminders through other software such as Yahoo).
