Applications can be found on the Records website at http://www.pointloma.edu/Records/Forms.htm. Appointment times are limited, so be sure to schedule an appointment before Priority On-line Registration (November 2 – November 13) if you do not know what spring classes to take. This “Grad Check” is required in order to be considered as a candidate for a degree and to participate in commencement.
*PLNU CATALOG - Students are ultimately responsible for the fulfillment of all requirements listed for majors, minors, and General Education (G.E.) in the Catalog at initial enrollment. Those who choose a subsequent Catalog, however, must notify the Records Office and meet all requirements in that Catalog. If a student has not been registered here at PLNU for three or more regular semesters, they will come in under the Catalog in effect at the time they re-enter. *MASSAGES - Come work out the kinks in the Wellness Center! A massage therapist is available to the campus community every Wednesday from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm for only $1 per minute. You can schedule an appointment by phone at 619-849-2574 or by email at sandraische@pointloma.edu. Even a 5 to 10 minute massage can help you relax…so skip the frappucino, and try a massage!
*MENTAL HEALTH SCREENING - More than books weighing you down? National Depression Screening Day can help. Every academic year, millions of students are affected by depression, anxiety or a related mental health issue. Yet social stigma, confusion and a simple lack of knowledge of the resources available prevent many from seeking out the help they need. In order to help students cope, the Wellness Center is offering free, confidential screenings for depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety and posttraumatic stress disorder. At the screening, you can fill out a questionnaire and talk with a therapist about your personal situation. Even if you don’t have a mood or anxiety disorder and are just going through a couple of bad days, you are invited to come take advantage of the program and learn about the services that are available on campus. You may learn something that will help you or a friend in the future. The screening is being held September 29 and 30 at the Nicholson Commons Living Room from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. You can also call the Wellness Center at x2574 to schedule a screening in our office. It may be the easiest multiple choice of your college career. It could also be the most important. We're here for you and we can help.
