- Easter Recess is April 9 - 13. Please make your travel plans accordingly.

*WEB-REG PREPARATION
- If you are planning to register for a course that requires "Instructor Consent", please see the instructor prior to your Web-Reg time. Time and space is of the essence...the sooner the better! Remember, registration cannot happen without clearance from your advisor.

*SUMMER SCHOOL COURSES - If you are planning to take a course this summer at another college/university, please stop by the Records Office with the course description and be sure to fill out our course approval form. This form needs to be submitted to and approved by the Records Office before the end of the spring semester. If you take any courses that are not pre-approved, you may not receive the credit you anticipated.

*OFFICE OF RECORDS WEBSITE - Please take some time to check out the Office of Records Website. There is important information on the site regarding Articulation Agreements with other colleges and universities as well as the proper forms needed to request transcripts, verifications, change of schedule, or grad checks.

Financial and Scholarship Announcements

*THINKING ABOUT REGISTRATION OR GRADUATION? - As you are deciding which classes to take next semester, please take some time to look at your student account. Hopefully, your account is already paid in full because if not you likely have a financial hold on your account which will prevent class registration, participation in room draw nights, receiving official transcripts, and participating in commencement (if a graduating senior). The good news is that once your account is paid in full your hold will be removed and you can proceed with registration. The bad news: if you delay too long you may not get the classes or the housing assignment that you want. You can view your account and pay online through your portal by clicking on “Current Statement of Account”. If you have questions about your balance, please contact us right away to settle your account at sfs@pointloma.edu or 619-849-2538. Of course, you are always welcome to drop by our offices in Draper Hall as well.

*ATTENTION GRADUATING SENIORS WITH STAFFORD AND ALTERNANTIVE LOANS -
If you are graduating and you have received a Federal Stafford Loan and/or Alternative Private Loan during your tenure here at PLNU, you must complete a mandatory Stafford Loan Exit Interview. This interview will review your rights and responsibilities as a borrower, and will include information on your alternative loans if you have one. Interviews are available for the following days and times in Draper Hall:

  • Monday, April 20, at 3 p.m.
  • Tuesday, April 21 – Thursday, April 23 at 11 a.m. or 3 p.m.
  • Tuesday, April 28 – Thursday, April 30 at 11a.m. or 3 p.m.
  • Friday, May 1, at 11 a.m.

*Additional night session offered on Thursday, April 23, or Monday, April 27, at 6 p.m.

Students who attend will be provided with details about their current loan balances and repayment options.

Your interview will be in a group setting and usually lasts about 45 minutes. In order to serve you better, please contact Student Financial Services to reserve a day and time by calling (619) 849-2538 or e-mailing sfs@pointloma.edu . Refreshments will be served.

PARENT PORTALS - Are your parents paying for your education? If so, make sure they have access to see your account and pay online. If you haven’t already, give them permission to access your account through the “Information Releases” section of your portal. Then, they can set up a parent portal with their own username and password. The parent portal gives them access to your statement of account, without giving them access to your entire portal. Once you have given them access, send them their PLNU ID number (which will appear next to their name on your portal), and send them these instructions: PLNU Parent Portal Set Up Instructions
If they have any trouble creating their portal or paying online, please have them contact our office at 619.849.2538 or sfs@pointloma.edu.
