KEYS TO TESTING SUCCESS
1. Get a good night's sleep followed by a good breakfast the day of the exam.
2. Avoid last minute cramming, but briefly review key terms and facts the morning of the exam.
3. Sit near the front of the class and plan to stay the entire time.
4. Read questions and directions TWICE, before answering questions.
5. Answer easy questions first. Answer every question---don't leave blanks.
6. Pay attention to the wording of questions, especially qualifiers such as always, most, never, usually.
7. For essay questions, make a quick outline or list before writing; make sure you have a clear thesis, followed by main points and examples.
8. For multiple choice questions and T/F, the first answer that comes to your mind is generally the correct choice unless you have misread the question.
9. Carefully reread all of the questions and answers, before turning your paper in.
10. After the exam is graded and returned, check with your professor if you have any questions about the material covered in the exam.
