ASIAN BUSINESS ASSOCIATION (ABA) FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP - Each year the Asian Business Association Foundation, San Diego, accepts applications from high school and college students as part of its annual scholarship program. Applicants must be either a high school or undergraduate college student, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, be a San Diego County resident, and be a US Citizen or permanent resident. Applicants are asked to include a personal narrative with their application. Applications are available online at http://www.abasd.org/commNewsFilter.php?id_comnews=8. *REVISION: TENSION PREVENTION STRESS SEMINAR – We apologize for last week's announcement. Tension Prevention will still be taking place Monday, September 8th from 8-9 in the Rec Room, however, this is not a Wellness Center sponsored event. The Psych 391 research team will be putting on a stress reduction seminar to help teach all freshmen how to deal with the stress of college life. Come learn to cope with your stress and have free ice cream!

- Survey the Entire Text-read the preface, scan table of contents, scan index and appendices
- Preview Each Chapter-check chapter summaries, read all headlines, charts, and graphs
- Take Notes as You Read-identify main ideas in each chapter and summarize what you read
- Question Yourself as You Read- ask what, why, how, who, and when questions
- Highlight and Make Margin Notes- write in margins at the end of every page
