Pricing
PLNU provides wedding venues for alumni, students, faculty and staff only . There are several campus locations available for weddings including: The Greek Amphitheater, McCullough Park, and Ryan Plaza deck. Other locations may be available by request.

The price for a wedding on the PLNU campus includes use of the wedding venue and public restrooms for a rehearsal a day prior to the wedding; use of the wedding facility, public restrooms and two classrooms for bridal party preparation on the day of the wedding; and use of the wedding venue for a reception following the wedding ceremony. Including decorating and cleanup times, the rehearsal, the wedding and reception should not exceed 12 hours. Should you want to hold a reception in a location separate from the wedding venue, an additional facility rental charge will apply.
PLNU does not provide wedding planning services, however, a Conference Services staff person will be on campus throughout your event to assist you with your needs. Because of typical wedding day stresses, it is recommended that you designate one individual from your wedding party to serve as your representative during the event. This person would channel any requests through the PLNU liaison, make sure that all wedding decorations are removed after the event, and settle any matters in accordance with the check-out procedures noted in the Guest Group Handbook.
Catering
Per a contractual agreement and certain state health laws, no outside caterer is allowed on campus nor is any group allowed to bring prepared foods onto the campus (wedding cakes excluded). If you desire catering services, please contact Sodexho catering at (619) 849-2454.
Media Service
PLNU has a variety of media equipment available for your use. If you need any specialized sound or media equipment, or if you want to know the types of sound systems that can be accommodated, pleace contact the PLNU Media Services department at (619) 849-2264 for information and a price estimate (be sure to tell them that you are booking a wedding through Conference Services).
Equipment Rentals
You may desire to rent or purchase special furnishings and/or equipment from a local party rental service. All such arrangements must be made directly with the Party Rental supplier after you have received approval for usage from the Conference Services office . As you plan your decorating needs, please keep in mind the provisions found in the
Faciliities, Furnishings, and Fun section on page 6 of the
Guest Group Handbook . Also, please note that PLNU cannot be held responsible for the safekeeping of items rented from outside vendors.
Weather Contingencies and Disturbances
Every effort will be made to insure that your wedding venue is clean and ready prior to your arrival. If you are planning an outside event, however, please remember that your venue is at the mercy of the elements. Unforeseen storms may not preclude you from conducting your event, but they may prevent the PLNU staff from having the area totally free of blown in debris. It is also required that you make a facility contingency plan with PLNU or another facility in case there is bad weather the day of your event.
Also, keep in mind that, because of the multiple year-round events occurring at PLNU and the campus’ proximity to public property, no guarantees can be made to insure a “noise free” event.
Contract
A signed contract, $300.00 deposit and completed Facility Contingency Plan must be received before any reservation can be confirmed.
