Have you ever been to the African continent? Have you fallen in love like the rest of us? Are you here and often wish you were there? Are you wondering how you might still stay connected in the midst of your crazy, busy life here in the US? Are you wrestling with those big questions about poverty, race, colonialism, AIDS, etc.? Have you ever experienced the strong reverse culture-shock that comes with being back in this hyper-individual, hyper-consumer society? Are you frustrated by all the temptations to just go on with your life as if your experiences in Africa did not somehow radically challenge and change you?
Africa Care Group is an informal gathering of people who have been to the continent, who care about Africa, and who want to gather with others desperate to learn better ways of caring for each other here and there. Please join us.
