Dr. Sun has taught at many universities in the United States since 1988 and tenured at the University of Southern Mississippi in 1995. He has been a director of the Beijing Program of Asian Studies (Beijing University) since 1998. Dr. Sun is the author of two books on Chinese Diplomatic History (China and the Origins of the Pacific War, 1931-1941 and Engineering Communist China, One Man's Story). He has also written and edited several books and articles on the Prewar International Relations in East Asia.
