Gender Issues In Christian Higher Education


WHAT: "Gender Issues In Christian Higher Education" conference

The conference will feature:

  • Dr. Jean Kilbourne, author of Killing Us Softly. Her presentation is entitled "The Naked Truth: Advertising's Images of Women and the Corruption of Relationships."
  • Dr. Kim Phipps, president of Messiah College. Her presentation is entitled "Toward Wholeness: Making It A Reality On Our Campuses."
  • Dr. Ivy George, professor of sociology at Gordon College. Her presentation is entitled "Imagining Wholeness With Broken Images."

In conjunction with the CCCU (Council for Christian Colleges and Universities) and Messiah College, PLNU is sponsoring this inaugural national conversation about gender issues across all aspects of the university - from curriculum and pedagogy, to student life and spiritual development, to the university as a workplace and beyond.
